This video is a special dedication to one of the editors I admire — Iggy (hotterhatter2211)
So when Iggy won a Hunger Games session months ago, I was more than happy to dedicated my efforts to make an edit for her. Her passion, creativity, and talent have been a huge inspiration to me as a fellow video editor. Watching her edits constantly reminds me of the power of her ability to craft emotional, dynamic pieces pushes me to grow every day.

This tribute is a promise that no matter where our paths lead, I’ll always cheer for her achievements, celebrate her art, and grow alongside the community she inspires.

Being introduced to a more accolade-driven editing community recently, I recognize my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to editing and I realize that one of my weaknesses is themes. My goal for this was to use the theme of ''reconnection after loss'' Showing that sometimes reconnection isn’t clean. It’s reluctant. Painful. But still powerful.

In the context of DMC5:
Loss - Vergil abandoned everything, lost his mother, his brother, himself.
Reconnection - Nero finds the truth, fights him not to kill, but to be acknowledged.
Bittersweet - They walk forward together… but it’s not a happy family reunion — it’s quiet, unresolved

I know this song is commonly used as a romantic love but I wanted to deepen it with the lyrics ''I'm Yours Again''
Nero reclaiming his own identity.
Vergil admitting, silently, that he does care.
A legacy that connects them despite all the pain.

I'd love if you can let me know if any of these themes came through in the edit, that would show me that I'm working further towards my goal of improving my weaknesses of thematic editing.
