Today we will discuss about Data validation function
Data validation is one of the most useful function in Excel
With the help of Data validation function we can restrict the data to enter into a cell
so that we can minimise the errors and maximise the quality of the data.
There are 8 options available in Data validation we can discuss each option in detailed in this video i will create separate playlist for you for your easy reference


There are 8 options available in Data validation function that is
1) Any value - it remove any existing data validation
2) Whole number - it will allow user to enter only values
3) Decimal - it will allow users to enter values with decimal
4) List - it will allow user to select data from drop down list
5) Date - it will allow users to enter dates only
6) Time - it will allow users to enter time only
7) Text Length - it validate the input based on the length of the data
8) Custom - if our validation not fulfilled above options we validate with custom formula

If we enter any value whatever we given in Data validation, system will not allow to go further and force stop that entry and it will give you the error message what error we committed. while data entry we can customise that error message also in our own way.
