This rare music was part of the Manassas (Virginia, US) Jazz Festival -- performed on November 30, 1986, at the Ramada Renaissance in Dulles, Virginia. The performers are Joe Muranyi, clarinet, soprano saxophone, vocal; Mason "Country" Thomas, clarinet; James Dapogny, piano; Rod McDonald, guitar; Johnny Williams, string bass; Hal Smith, drums; Johnson "Fat Cat" McRee, host, vocals. Offered to us, thanks to Joe Shepherd, by Michael Steinman for JAZZ LIVES (http://www.jazzlives.wordpress.com). The songs are IT'S TIGHT LIKE THAT / CRYING FOR THE CAROLINES / MISS ANNABELLE LEE /. The visual fidelity is slightly below average -- what happens to videotape transferred more than once -- but the music comes right through.
