This is a public service announcement to firefighters everywhere. BURNED is the true story of how the spouse of a firefighter revealed significant exposure to forever chemicals affecting the fire community. Toxic PFAS chemicals have been a component in firefighter turnout gear for decades yet those material changes were not publicly disclosed to the fire service. At the same time, occupational cancer and cardiovascular disease have been the leading killer of firefighters with these timelines being eerily similar. This film tells the experiences of a brave advocate and her investigation to uncover these facts and help protect firefighters everywhere.
