JOURNEY DETAILS
Our journey continues from the misty trails of Tumling, entering the beautiful Singalila National Park, home to red pandas, Himalayan birds, and endless rhododendron forests. As we trekked through cloud-kissed paths and ridge lines along the India–Nepal border, the landscape slowly opened into sweeping valleys and silent mountain villages.

After a scenic trek of around 12 km, we reached Kalipokhri, a peaceful Himalayan village known for its sacred black lake. The lake never dries, never freezes, and holds deep spiritual significance for the locals.

As the weather turned rough, we continued from Kalipokhri to Sandakphu by a Bolero jeep—climbing steep, rocky 4×4 trails toward the highest point of West Bengal. From here, the mighty Sleeping Buddha, Kanchenjunga range, and on clear days even Everest, reveal their true grandeur.
