180 Blind - How to Wakeboard Tricks English

The Blind 180 or 180-to-Blind is an Ollie, so a small jump on the water, where you rotate backwards by 180°. The trick is one of the basic tricks you should learn.
Before you even try the 180-to-Blind, you should already be able to do a frontside 180. And you should do this with ease, because the Blind 180 is way harder.
The approach is very similar to the one of the frontside 180.

But you should hold your arms closer to your body, so that you can rotate better and have no problems with the handle pass later.
Then jump like for an Ollie with one hand at the handle and rotate you back shoulder and your head backwards. If you are a Goofy rider, then you turn back to the left and if you are a Regular rider, then you turn back to the right. Just like for the frontside 180, your upper body initiates the rotation. The small twist of the Blind 180 is that unlike for the frontside 180 you can’t look in the direction of travel all the time. Instead, your gaze will get interrupted.
Try not to stretch your arm too much, but keep the handle tight to your back.
You land with the handle behind your back.

To not slip at the landing or get pulled back from the cable it is important that you lean forward and bend your knees. If you are a Goofy rider, then you land left foot forward and bring your right shoulder to your left knee. If you are a Regular rider, then you land right foot forward and bring your left shoulder to the right knee.
As soon as you have the feeling, that you can stand somewhat safely, you can pass the handle behind your back. If you pulled the rope the jump off, it might happen, that you get a jerk from the rope after the landing.

You can either pass the handle before the jerk or prepare for it by bending your knees, leaning forward and have body tension or you don’t even pull too much before the jump off.
For me personally the trick is very fun because it can be made everywhere and it’s very versatile. In addition, the trick will give you a lot of board control once you mastered it.
