Don Martin Three - s/t 7" (1995)

Don Martin Three was a "hardcore emo" band from St. Augustine, Florida, active 1995-1996. They consisted of Brian Gossman, Colin McCann, and Dave Middleton, although I haven't been able to find who played what. Aside from this 7", they made their famous 3-way split 7" Summer Ninety Six, a demo, and a 12" which is also self-titled.

The 7" was released on Oberon Records, whose only release was exactly this one - 300 copies were pressed. The cover is handmade and has many variations - the image of people is the only one consistent, and it along with the image on the right (which can be a fish, 2 pines or a leaf) seem to be printed, while the band's name and image below it (which has 3 variations) seem to be taped on. Along with the record, there's also a lyric insert which has the band's contact info.

I discovered this band through their Summer Ninety Six split, with it being one of the first emo songs I discovered, sometime around 2022. Simon B's upload of the 7" came into my recommended last year, although I don't really like the band's 12".

Audio sourced from the band's topic page (cover from here too, I brightened it up a bit) on Youtube, then sped up in Audacity (1.032 speed multiplier, 3.201 percent change) to match the speed of ‪@SimonB.‬'s upload of it, and exported as mp3. Both songs then combined into WAV file which was imported into Openshot to put in video. The video was exported in mp4 (h.264) and AAC (at 512 kb/s).

Lyrics sourced from the lyric insert, which I corrected. Seems like in Katahdn the vocals go "katahdin" (highest mountain in Maine), although the insert says katahdn... Fun fact, chickadee and bluebird frequent that mountain.
