Trying to find a new place for Fariba

Fariba, along with her daughters, has recently moved to a cooler place—a spot where the mountain breeze offers some relief from the heat of previous days. Like many nomadic families, they are compelled to move with the seasons and in search of fresh pastures. Though this constant migration brings challenges, it is an inseparable part of their way of life. Yesterday, Ghodrat and Zahra’s sons came to help Fariba. Together, they gathered wooden poles and thick fabrics to build a temporary shelter. In this unstable life, even a simple roof is a great blessing. In such situations, cooperation and mutual support are the foundation of survival and provide a deep sense of comfort—bonds that go beyond kinship. Today, Fariba and her daughter Kosar are busy preparing the shelter. They are sweeping the ground, spreading blankets, and organizing their few belongings. Kosar, with her small, energetic hands, is doing her part, wearing a smile that reflects the hope still alive in the heart of this family despite all hardships. Nomadic life is always in motion—restless and impermanent. Not having a permanent home is a defining feature of this lifestyle. For people like Fariba, home is not in walls or rooftops, but in the connection between family members and in the shared endurance of hardships and joys.
