How to Rotate a YouTube Video

How to rotate a YouTube video while watching:

Follow the steps to rotate a YouTube video on Android:
1. Open Android's Quick Settings by dragging the uppermost panel down;
2. Tap the Auto-rotate icon, and play a YouTube video while holding a smartphone horizontally(Landscape mode) or vertically (Portrait mode)
3. The screen will adjust to the Landscape or Portrait mode depending on how you hold your device.

To rotate a video on iPhone:
1. Open the Control Center on your iPhone or iPad by swiping up from the bottom of the Home screen (if there is a physical Home button at the bottom-center), or swipe down from the top-right corner if there is not.
2. Tap the rotate lock button and switch the device position from vertical to horizontal or otherwise.

How to rotate a YouTube video after uploading:

There are many editing apps (professional like iMovie, or Premiere Pro) used by the creators to rotate at any angle they need(not just 90 deg). Yet many of them require skills or at least, the familiarity with the software.

For absolute beginners, the easier way would be to use Clideo, a free video editor which lets you rotate any YouTube video online without any software or extension installed on your computer. This may take anywhere from just a few seconds to 10 minutes, and after the rotation is done you should be able to download it.

1. Go to Kapwing.com and upload a video from your device, or URL link of the video
2. Once you upload, you will see two rotate buttons on your right.
3. Tap one of them to rotate 90 degrees left or right. Once you are satisfied, tap "Export".
4. Wait for a few more minutes, and you are done.
