This interview about life in Tibet was conducted by the Tibet Oral History Project. This non-profit organization aims to preserve the history and culture of the Tibetan people by interviewing elderly Tibetan refugees about life in Tibet before and after the Chinese invasion. During his interview Kelsang Dorjee describes how he witnessed the public abuse of wealthy villagers instigated by the Chinese occupiers. The wealthy were handcuffed and signs hung around their necks. Then they were gathered into the center of all the villagers, who were encouraged yell accusations at the
prisoners.
