DJB (DJ Brandon Barlow)
Beginning his career in 1995 at just 18 years old, DJ Brandon (DJB) quickly became one of Oakland, California’s hottest House music DJs. Influenced by the sounds of Baltimore, Chicago, and New York, his seamless beat mixing and instinct for reading the crowd kept dance floors packed.
DJB first played alongside DJ Terry Hayes at Cables Reef, Oakland’s legendary gay nightclub and the city’s heartbeat for soulful and gospel house throughout the ’90s. After Terry Hayes retired, DJB took over Friday and Saturday nights from 1996 to 2000, further cementing his reputation. During that era, he also spun at Oakland Pride (1999), Club Rimshot at the Bench and Bar (1998–2000), and Vibe Lounge (2005–2006), along with other Bay Area venues through 2010.
After stepping away from the decks, DJB returned in 2020 with a renewed passion. He built a following across social platforms and grew a successful YouTube channel dedicated to his love of House Music—sharing mixes that range from Gospel and Soulful to Tech House for all audiences and environments.
Since his comeback, DJB has performed at Pride in the Park (2021), Oakland Pridefest (2022), San Fernando Valley Pride (2022), and club venues in both Los Angeles and Oakland. He has shared the stage with House Music icons including Crystal Waters, CeCe Peniston, and San Francisco legend DJ David Harness. Recently, DJB’s original work caught the attention of DJ Spen and was signed to Quantize Recordings through a talent search.
When he’s not performing live, DJB continues to produce edits, remixes, and original tracks for his YouTube channel. A versatile and dynamic House Music DJ, he delivers unforgettable sets—no matter the crowd, venue, or vibe.
