We are proud to feature a new EP by Manchester-based phenom Universal Solution for the second time this summer. An artist who has explored the outer reaches of electronica in his celebrated career, including timeless contributions to the mighty Anjunadeep imprint, Universal Solution (a.k.a. Gavin Holland) recently treated us to a lush two-track EP on our deeper Silk Textures division: "Sunburst / Bamboo Alley". This time around, he presents the visionary "Pressure Point" and "Luquan", both of which were standout tracks on Shingo Nakamura & Max Flyant's "Only Silk 03" compilation.

The soul-affirming "Pressure Point" is an ethereal affair from the song's earliest moments. Gorgeous pads set the listener adrift and carry on as a central motif throughout the tune. Meanwhile, a gentle house groove gives the track a steady momentum, while a variety of fluttering arpeggios and background pads reinforce the floating-on-air soundscape. The B-side, "Luquan", refreshingly features a progressive breaks rhythm section, while Universal Solution's signature pads, once again, contribute a sensual and uplifting aura. Several provocative vocal samples and the addition of a breezy, string lead in the song's latter half enhance the chilled atmosphere.
