Update: Neglected 14-year-old Wisconsin girl up to 78 pounds, has grown 3 inches | Interview

A relative of a 14-year-old Wisconsin girl who was found malnourished and weighing only 35 pounds is giving an update on her condition.

Leslie Doxtater is a cousin of the teen. She says the girl is upbeat despite her ordeal.

In an interview, Doxtater explains how the girl is recovering and growing and how she is adjusting to her new life.

Doxtater also answers how family members didn't know the girl's father was allegedly keeping her isolated and malnourished.

Doxtater has created an online fundraiser to help with transitioning the girl to life with other relatives.

The girl's father, Walter Goodman; his wife, Melissa; Melissa's daughter Savanna LeFever and LeFever's partner, Kayla Stemler, all lived in the home with the girl and are facing criminal charges.
