Free Motion Quilting a Baby Quilt with Minky Backing & Simple Piecing

This sweet little baby quilt has a subtle color palette, and graphic piecing, so it’s important to choose a free motion quilting design that’ll highlight but not overtake the design.

And Minky-style backing is loved by many, but also feared by many quilters. It has a great deal of stretch so it’s important to manage that well, in order for the finished quilt to lay flat.

Also, at the end I’ll share a genius tip for trimming up the finished quilt WITHOUT getting Minky fuzz everywhere.

carefully loading the Minky-style backing with tips for avoiding the dreaded s t r e t c h.

choosing the quilting design; as you can see, it's a subtle color palette…so I want to choose the perfect edge to edge texture.

and of course the quilting, and it will be fairly easy to see on the lovely solid border
