I'm sure there are lots of features that current DJ mixers and controllers have that can be used to enhance performances. I am a strong believer in learning the basics and once mastered it am encouraged to learn new techniques/functions. I remember when DVS software did not have hot cues and now it's pretty much a standard feature, similar to loop roll, sampler, and slicer. The ch. fader start feature will be beneficial when becoming familiar with new or existing gear (at least in the Pioneer ecosystem).
