Just to be clear, there is the most epic Bass Pro Shop of all time in Memphis and nothing even comes close. It's like Las Vegas' Luxor meets flannel. Very impressive. What an interesting bit of history here. MLK was shot here. Elvis Presley put Memphis on the music map. And did I mention redneck Luxor.
Beyond the downtown area things look very different. Overgrown weeds. Uncut grass. Dilapidated structures. Unfortunately that seems to be a trend around this part of the country.
