Doesn't GeForce Experience in-game overlay work (alt+Z) ??
This happen if you not install Nvidia drivers first and reboot your computer.
You need install twice or even third time.

What you need to do is, in 1st Nvidia install,
choose "custom" installation and uncheck GFE, do not install it yeat. Don't select "clean installation" box.
After computer reboot, install Nvidia again 2nd time,
install again all drivers and stuff and GFE for now.
Reboot computer, check you have Windows desktop theme Aero version (Shadow recorder work only in this desktop style).
Launch GFE and look settings is in-game overlay enabled.
If you still have somekind bug, close GFE and install Nvidia third time, reboot computer.
