Substructure Construction

Lean Concrete, Pressure Slab, Excavation and Backfilling works is the common works done during substructure. In this 25minutes Vlog inhinyerong sibil share the experience what actual activities are being done during the Construction of Substructure Works of a Residential Condominium Building. It discusses mainly the structure’s that was being built below ground level including some materials, equipment and tools that was used. The main purpose for this vlog is to inspire our youngster to have a knowledge and have a pre-experienced on what is happening at jobsite.

Status of Jobsite before excavation works was presented. Earthworks was presented on the video just like excavation works, Soil Backfill and Soil Compaction was discussed.

Sheet Pile Works was explained what would be the purpose why it is needed during substructure works. Soldier Pile support, Strut Support (I-BEAM) and waler support is also included on the vlog. Importance of Excavator, Mobile Crane with its Vibro Hammer has discussed how it works during the installation of Sheet Pile.

Lean Concrete was discuss including the use of Spacer Blocks and Chair bar for the Bottom Rebar of a Pile Cap . It is clearly reminded also how important does starter Bar / Main Bar of Vertical columns and shear wall are required to be installed prior for Pouring of concrete of the Pile cap / Footing. Bored Pile was presented in the video including the way on how pile hacking is being done. Status of Water Sippage was discussed including the importance dewatering. Installation of Waterproofing just like Bentonite Geotextile and Bentonite Strip also known as water stop was included on the video.

We have also a video for the Cistern Tank and STP Tank (Sewage treatment Plant). On Cistern Tank it discusses the function, distribution of water going to the Overhead Water Tank. Footing of the Tower Crane was discussed, including its anchorage from the footing and its anchor bolt was clearly shown.

Sheet Pile Failure was shown including the preparation on how they rectify by installing additional support such as I-Beam (Waler Support). Footing Tie Beam was also shown on the video connecting from column to the shearwall. Example of shearwall (Elevator Wall) formworks is also included.

Before and After the Works of Pressure Slab Slab on Grade for the Basement was clearly shown on the video such as Rebar Works to Concreting. Pressure slab water Proofing and its lean concrete was also presented. Present activities such as concrete pouring of column by using stationary was presented. Importance of Retaining wall prior for sheet pile retrieval was also discussed including its waterproofing.
