LIUZHI BRIDGE: The progress of cloud-based bridge construction has reached 95%

The reporter learned that at present, the overall progress of the Liuzhi Bridge on the Naqing Expressway, which is undertaken by the Road and Bridge Group under the Guizhou Communications Investment Group, has been completed by about 93%, and it is expected to be closed in May 2025. At the same time, the overall progress of the Naqing Expressway has reached 99.5%, including 99.8% of the roadbed, 99% of the bridge, 100% of the tunnel, 92% of the pavement, and 90% of the ancillary projects.

记者获悉，目前，由贵州交投集团所属路桥集团承建的纳晴高速六枝特大桥总体形象进度已完成约93%，预计2025年5月合龙。与此同时，纳晴高速总体形象进度达99.5%，其中路基形象进度99.8%，桥梁形象进度99%，隧道形象进度100%，路面形象进度92%，附属工程形象进度90%。

The LIUZHI BRIDGE is located in Zhongzhai Township, Liuzhi Special District . It is a key project of the Nayong-Qinglong Expressway. The bridge is 2,012 meters long, with a pier height of 196 meters and a single span of 320 meters. It is expected to be completed in May 2025.

On April 19, 2024, builders of the Liuzhi Bridge on the Nayong-Qinglong Expressway were making final preparations for the closure of the upper and lower hanging boxes on the left span of the main bridge.

BRIDGE INTRODUCTION
Liuzhi Bridge is one of the key projects of Naqing Expressway. The bridge is 2023.5 meters long, with a maximum pier height of 196 meters and a main span of 320 meters. The main bridge pier height, single span span, and total bridge length are currently ranked first in the world among similar hollow continuous rigid frame bridges. The main bridge adopts a five-span continuous (three main spans) prestressed concrete hollow continuous rigid frame beam structure, which is the first of its kind in China and abroad.


CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
In August 2022, the concrete pouring of the 96-102-meter section of the left section of the main piers 6, 7, and 8 of the Liuzhi Bridge on the Naqing Expressway was successfully completed, breaking the 100-meter mark.
On March 21, the first section of the Liuzhi Bridge on the Naqing Expressway (the left side of Pier 6 on the Nayong Bank) was successfully completed.


Bridge Design
The Liuzhi Extra-Large Bridge is located in Zhongzhai Township, Liuzhi Special District. It spans a high mountain gorge and is a hollow-type continuous rigid frame bridge with a maximum single-leg pier height of 196 meters.
The piers are constructed using a heavy hydraulic climbing formwork lifting system. Each main pier has four limbs that are grouped in pairs to form two parallel flow working surfaces for simultaneous construction. This not only improves construction efficiency, but also saves construction costs, effectively reduces the risk of high pier construction, and greatly improves safety and reliability
