I am, as of now, skeptical of free will, compatibilism, and determinism. I have not seen enough evidence for each one to be convinced of any of them. My answer is that I simply do not know, but we certainly do have an illusion of free will. In this video, I critique the arguments presented by Rationality Rules (Steven Woodford) and CosmicSkeptic (Alex O'Connor). Steven takes a scientific approach, and I disagree with the conclusion based on the parameters of the experiment. Alex takes a philosophical approach, and I am skeptical of the notion that we only base every decision on wanting to do it. This philosophical approach seems intuitive, but I do not see evidence to support it.
