How to Knit Cute Shrug Sweater for just $5

You will never fear Knitting panels on a circular knitting machine again! This project gives you all the practice you need.

You just knit 2 rectangle panels, stitc one long seam and 2 short ons and you are ready to wear this cute and easy weater!!

This is the perfect shrug for wearing to a Summer picnic, an Autumn bonfire, heading out to the pumpkin patch, or picking apples!

Make the Summer Time Cocoon Shrug!

1, 170gm skein of Big Twist Teeed for the S/M shrug ( without edging)
(2 /3 skeins of the Big Twist yarn for L/XL)

Waste yarn - very different color than your main working yarn)

I always buy 1 more skein of the working yarn than I think I need- that way I have extra to do edging or an accessory to go with the project.

46 Needle Addi or 48 Needle Sentro Knitting Machine -
1-2 skeins #4 Big Twist Tweed Yarn
4mm Crochet Hook
Loom Pick
Yarn Needle

Small/Med Cocoon Shrug

2 Panels 43 needles (Addi Kingsize or 45 needles on Sentro 48)

5 rows of Waste yarn cast on

Join main yarn

Knit 150 rows for small/medium shrug
(Or 200 rows for Large 250 rows extra large)

Knit 5-10 rows of waste yarn cast off

Single crochet bind-off edges, remove waste yarn

Carefully Mattress stitch the 2 panels together on the Long edge to make one large rectangle

Fold Hot dog (long skinny rectangle)

Make Arm Holes: Stitch 6” from the open edge towards the fold (both ends)
