About the Guest:
Lt Col Mayur Ambastha joined the National Defence Academy in Dec 1995, Graduated to the Indian Military Academy in 1998, and was commissioned into the 10th Battalion of the Mechanised infantry Regiment in Dec 1999. He is now an Army veteran, and an HR professional. He has done his Masters in Business Administration from NMIMS, Mumbai.
Some highlights of his 20 years’ service in the Indian Army are :
• Served in the 10th Mechanised Infantry Battalion and participated in OPERATION PARAKRAM in 2001-02 in the deserts of the western sector.
• Served three tenures in Kashmir in various locations. During these he has been a staff officer, and also a team leader in active and intense counter insurgency operations, as part of the ‘Rashtriya Rifles’, in Pulwama, Baramula, Anantnag, Budgam districts and deployed for counter infiltration tasks on the Line of Control in the Kupwara Sector too.
• Led a team of 200 soldiers in Sudan and South Sudan in Africa for peacekeeping and peace enforcement amid a civil war.
• His roles while in military service include Operations, Financial management, People Management, Logistics and Project management.
• He transitioned to the corporate world after 20 years of distinguished service and is now a Human Resource professional. He has been Head HR, of Hyosung Corporation India Pvt Ltd ( A S Korean MNC) for 4 years before founding own HR Solutions and Services firm Fluxwings Solutions LLP.
Lt Col Mayur Ambastha is an avid blogger, a veteran welfare & networking enthusiast and a prominent voice on the social media. He is also a motivational and keynote speaker, apart from being a military transition coach. He has been lately working towards awareness about Veteran Hiring.

About the host:
Lt. Commander Nikhil Kumar Chandrakala (Retd.) served as the Youngest Panelist on the Officers' Selection Board of the Indian Navy. He is the youngest Group Testing Officer to have served in the Indian Armed Forces since 1947!
Lt. Cdr. Nikhil KC (Retd.) has also served in some coveted appointments onboard frigates in the Western Fleet of the Indian Navy, on ships of Killer Squadron, legacy bearer of 1971 war. He was also Aide-De-Camp of the Admiral Commanding Maharashtra and Gujarat Naval Area.
As Captain of the Warship – Indian Naval Immediate Support Vessel T-15, Senior Officer, ISVs (West), he spearheaded a team of 16 officers and 102 men to defend Oil-Field Exploration Areas on the Western Seaboard of India. He and his team were featured in a documentary shot by India Today TV which was aired on National Television on 26 Jan 2017.
