Caladesi Island State Park, located off Florida's Gulf Coast near Dunedin FL, is a pristine barrier island accessible only by boat or ferry from nearby Honeymoon Island State Park. Known for its unspoiled natural beauty, the park spans 650 acres of land and includes 3 miles of white sandy beaches, consistently ranked among the best in the U.S. As one of Florida’s few undeveloped barrier islands, it offers a serene escape with no commercial development.
The state park was shut down after Hurricane Helene, from October 2024 until the end of June 2025 and eventually reopened in early July 2025.
