Dr. Page Assaulted & More at University of Winnipeg -"Is Free Speech Dead at Canadian Universities?"

Dr. Daniel Page was assaulted multiple times and more at the University of Winnipeg campus, unprovoked, for engaging in an expressive activity: Documenting Dr. Frances Widdowson's Spectrum Street Epistemology session she planned to hold on September 26th, 2025. The University of Winnipeg in their communications to their Faculty stated that "universities must allow for freedom of expression", and that "The University will not block Widdowson or anyone who accompanies who from being on the campus grounds. Campus security will monitor the situation to ensure the physical safety of everyone in the area, but not to censor discussion." What is in the video is Dr. Frances Widdowson, who Dr. Page was carrying out videography work for, to help her document and help everybody understand what was happening there in the process as an academic, summarizes the main events of the afternoon of September 26, 2025 at the University of Winnipeg campus. Multiple innocent people were victims of criminal activity, including Dr. Page and Dr. Widdowson.

The events of September 26, 2025 set a dangerous precedent for universities in Manitoba, for freedom of expression and academic freedom. It is completely unacceptable for professors to be allowed to be attacked on university campuses, as occurred at the University of Winnipeg. Dr. Page was there especially to uphold the academic mission of universities, such as University of Winnipeg, not to hold a position in the academic exercise.

To the date of this published video, the University of Winnipeg has made no public statement condemning the assaults of Dr. Page on their campus, and has not commented on the criminal activities that were inflicted upon members of the public participating in the academic exercise and Dr. Widdowson, on their campus on September 26, 2025. Security did not protect Dr. Page, and multiple police calls to the Winnipeg Police were made to intervene in what was occurring on the campus and were not observed.

I wanted to make this video to update people, such as my subscribers and supporters, on what happened in very brief terms. Fortunately I am not injured and my camera equipment was not damaged, but I feared for my life at least once.
