Chasing MONSTER smallmouth bass deep in the Hawaiian jungle!

Hawaii smallie fishing is a basically unknown fishery that has grown to be one of my favorite, all the tropical scenery and environment of Hawaii, but creek fishing for one of my favorite fish aggressive smallmouth bass! In this video Me and my friend Zayden,‪@Oahufishaman‬ and my friend Barrel McNamara, set off to explore the jungles of Hawaii chasing huge smallmouth bass, this is probably the worst footage lol but all of the big fish we didn’t get on the GoPro, but videos are soon to come for sure because there are 1-4 pound smallies miles up in the mountains of Hawaii!




Gear used


My setup was a Nako flightfeather bfs reel, with 10 pound braid

Barrels setup was a less spinning reel and a travel rod

Zayden was running a Shimano nexhave with a Shakespeare ultralight, and also running an aldernaren bfs and a cheap bfs reel


Lures


Mostly running RHA Tackle plastics, small wakebaits/hlidebaits, jigs, spoons, and my favorite a mini dark sleeper, also running poppers, spooks and more topwater.


Camera gear

Running a GoPro hero 10, on a chest mount, and now I run an iPhone 16 pro for third person shots
