Women's clothing and etiquette at the turn of the 19th -20th century
The educational short film of the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts presents one of the lesser-known aspects of Art Nouveau design: it provides an insight into the wardrobe and lifestyle of a higher-class woman living at the turn of the 20th century. By exhibiting from the museum’s textile collection, the outstanding contemporary costumes and accessories recall Art Nouveau motifs and provide a glimpse into those times, that created a new, airy, ethereal yet strong female figure.
