We had an amazing turn out on our very first Light Up The Park at Lakefront Promenade's Metro Marine Modellers' Launch Docks headed by Hugh Lee and Rod Clark.
Although there was a lot weed on the water on both sides of the launch docks, the Scale Division members of MMM and CMM marched on running our tugs, work boats, and war ships, and even including a sailboat lit up to the hilt owned by Ron Bauer. A lot of spectators and passersby were also present taking pictures and learning about our hobby and club membership.
We had a variety of different boats from 1/72 scale, 8" long x 3" wide, x 5" tall plastic baby tug weighing less than a 1/4 lb to a massive 1/50 scale, 50" long x 11” wide x 24” tall, 58 lb, steel hull Off Shore Supply Vessel named GRANIT owned by Mark Kievan of CMM.
