Lea Green Station is located on the line between Manchester and Liverpool via Chat Moss and is famous for being the original Liverpool to Manchester railway built in 1830;
The station is managed by Northern Rail with Northern and Transpennine Express services calling here:
Services run up to hourly towards: Liverpool Lime Street or towards Warrington Bank Quay, Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Airport or Crewe. These services at the most recent time of filming were operated with Class 323 and Class 331 Electric Multiple Units, these EMU's replacing the older Class 319 EMU's which operated up to 2023.
TPE services operate towards Liverpool Lime Street or towards: Manchester, Leeds, York, Scarborough and Newcastle. The above services are operated with a mix of Class 185 Diesel Multiple Units and Class 802 Diesel Electric Multiple Units.
