Puthiyavan Samy temple is located in front of Seevalaperi Sudalai Madasamy temple. Puthiyavan is a guardian deity for god Sudalai Madan. Poolam muthurakku samy had come to Seevalaperi temple, took the name as Puthiyavan and settled in the temple. Poolam muthurakku samy also have temples on Poolam village, Patta pillai puthur village and Apparkulam village in Tirunelveli district.
