Four Seasons in Lingering Garden is a commissioned work of Suzhou Chinese Orchestra with four movements.
First movement: "Spring Breeze"
The spring breeze blows gently, the river, tranquil.
Opening the window of flowers, one takes in a riot of vibrant hues, a site of broken desolation. Memories of passing years, those tormenting cycles.

Second movement: "Glistering Wood"
Serene waters in a lively summer.
A sight of a creek in daylight, against pale walls and dark tiles.
Part festive sparkles, part placid joy.

Third movement: "Sweet Scented Osmanthus"
A waft of osmanthus in the air, a distant look through the autumn breeze.
Amidst the slippage of time, a story of spring and autumn, for whom, though, to know?

Fourth movement: "Snowy Ke Pavilion"
Sweet osmanthus petals float aground, their fragrance chilled by the jadeite snow.
On this meandering path, set among pavilions and ponds around the garden, one leads a poetic life, away from hustle and bustle.
After a long stay in this peaceful haven, one distills the truths of life.

作品为苏州民族管弦乐团委约创作，共分四个乐章。
第一乐章〈清风探春〉：春风拂拂，春水漫漫，穿过花窗，打开那片奼紫嫣红，断井颓垣，记载下了流年的曲折轮回。
第二乐章〈绿荫点翠〉：採採流水，蓬蓬盛夏，粉墙黛瓦的水光日景，一半烟火，一半清欢。
第三乐章〈闻木樨香〉：桂花飘香，遥对秋风，时光冉冉而去，一部春秋，谁来解读。
第四乐章〈可亭望雪〉：银桂飘落，玉雪凝香，这曲径通幽，亭水环园，脱尽尘嚣的诗意生活，长留一方幽静天地，悟得生命本真。
