His Severed Tongue is a short story about a group of Blood Meridian - esque Scalp Hunters that get attacked by a wandering Shoshone war party.
It was originally just the opening scene of a much larger story that would have had an Indian School Escapee, a Japanese Mercenary, and a group of Murderous, Camel-Riding Mormons. But it was kind of just left as its own thing, as I moved on to different projects.
Maybe I'll come back to some of the other stories I had planned for this series, but I'm not really sure when -- or if -- I actually will.
