Geauga County road rage incident: 2 people say man shot at their car before speeding off

The Geauga County Sheriff's Office is investigating what they believe to be a road rage incident that took place on Christmas night.
According to 911 audio obtained by 3News, two drivers traveling northbound on Old State Road near Middlefield Village told dispatchers a vehicle was trying to run their car off the road while shooting at them. The alleged incident happened around 8 p.m.
"They completely stopped in front of us and tried to cut us off, and then we tried to go around them," the passenger told authorities.
A Geauga County sheriff's report describes the vehicle where the gunshots came from as a gray lift pickup truck. The callers described the truck as having "wheels wider than the body."
"(We) couldn't really see much because they were blinding us the whole time they were behind us," the 911 caller added. "And then when they got in front of us, they just tried to cut us off and, like, catty-cornered the road."
Even scarier was that the caller claimed, at one point, the suspect tried getting out of his car before pulling up next to the victims' vehicle, at which time he started shooting again before speeding off.
