1998 Ford Ranger -Front and rear speaker install

Hey everybody! In this episode, I install some Kicker 5 1/4" speakers in the Ranger. Crutchfield makes it easy with wire harness and speaker adapters. It really is a job that anyone can do. We will see you on the next one... Easy.

Make sure you get the flat rectangular speaker adapters, not the roundish square ones for the 98.

The 4 pack on Amazon was only 11.99 and worked great.

I also purchased the speaker adapters to fit the OEM speaker size:

you will need screws to mount the speakers to the adapters. I used bolts that "threaded" into the plastic. You can then use the OEM screws to secure back to the truck. I used SS M5 x .8 screws to hold the speakers into the adapters. Mine were 20mm long, but that's what I had, they could be shorter.
