Rebecca my wife has a very very competitive side. So when Mike failed to make a clean rip in the junk yard '70 a few weeks ago she claimed "even she could do better". What started out as a joke quickly turned serious when she asked me if she could run the car at Island Dragways 65th anniversary funny car throwdown and nostalgia event. So we loaded up both my '69 nova and the '70 nova and headed to the track. After a few shakedown runs Rebecca truly started to get the hang of it and REALLY enjoyed the thrill of racing in competition. Will I ever financially recover? Will I now have to support two race programs? Guess we will have to see what the future holds.
