Part 2 of the five-video improvisation series focusing on the @Befacosynth Octaves VCO.
Instead of using the Octaves as a sound source, this patch repurposes the module as a pulse generator and clock multiplier. By lowering its frequency range with offset and treating each of its outputs as an independent pulse stream, the Octaves becomes the rhythmic and modulation engine of the system.
Patch highlights:
All Octaves outputs used as gates/pulses
Offset applied to shift V/Oct control into LFO territory
Pulses routed to function generators and LPGs to create articulation and timbral motion
Buchla 258t and 4ms Ensemble Oscillator serve as sound sources
Dynamic control of VCA, contour shaping, and rhythmic phrasing
There is no narration. Audio is presented clean and uninterrupted, and key ideas are annotated through on-screen text for viewers who want technical insight.
