I've always wanted to go back to my roots and make a NANA AMV. This series was one of the first I grew attached to, first with the manga and later with the anime. There have been many amazing videos made to NANA, so I wanted to try to make something that stood out.
I discovered the music track "In The Night," by The Weeknd and immediately was gripped by it. Upbeat songs that deliver powerful messages are some of my favorites, and this was no exception. The instrumentation worked perfectly for a show focused on music, so I decided to see if I could rearrange the clips to tell a different story; a story in which Nana Osaki sings and dances to escape the memories of the night she was assaulted — a Neon Limbo.
