Hey everyone — it’s Leaflit! In this video I’m reacting to Decoy’s video “They Finally Went Too Far…” covering the escalating unrest in Minneapolis following the ICE enforcement operations and protests. What started as demonstrations quickly turned into violent riots, vandalism, and blatant attacks on federal law enforcement assets — including ICE and DHS vehicles being broken into, windows smashed, guns and ammunition stolen, and sensitive documents exposed online.
This isn’t peaceful protest anymore. These are criminal acts — destroying government vehicles, stealing weapons and papers, and openly targeting federal agents and their information. That kind of behavior puts everybody’s safety at risk and crosses a dangerous line.
Here’s my take:
I’m critical of the rioters and agitators.
There’s a big difference between peaceful protest and violence, theft, and attacks on law enforcement. Breaking into federal vehicles, looting weapons, and exposing agent details online is reckless and dangerous. These aren’t defenders of justice — they’re criminals escalating a tense situation into chaos.
I’m critical of Tim Walz and local leaders fuelling this.
Minnesota’s governor didn’t do much to calm things down — at times, he’s appeared to encourage filming ICE agents and publicly criticized the enforcement operations, which some say helped stir frustration rather than restore calm. Critics argue his rhetoric fanned the flames of anger and made it more difficult to maintain order.
I’m supportive of law enforcement and ICE.
ICE agents and federal officers are out there trying to enforce immigration law — a job that is hard enough without being treated like enemies. The attacks on their vehicles and equipment — including doxxing and exposing personal information — are not a legitimate form of protest. Rioters crossed a line from expressing dissent to committing crimes.
This situation is serious and ongoing — and it shows how quickly things can escalate when violence replaces peaceful expression and when leadership fails to de-escalate.
If you agree violence and attacks on law enforcement are never the answer — no matter the political issue — hit Like, Subscribe, and ring. Then tell me in the comments: What do you think is the best way to support peaceful accountability without violence?
