Bethany's musical soundscape developed somewhere in the blurred realms of ethereal gypsy folk-pop as coined by one of her friends. She has been frequently likened to her wide range of influences stemming from the likes of Bjork, Sigur Ros, and the Dirty Projectors. "The Fader" magazine describes Bethany's sound as "eerie" with "Kate Bush-esque vocals" in their review of her song "The Love Machine" which made it through to the long-list of Glastonbury's upcoming talent competition 2016.

Bethany was first in a band in Bath with Stevie-Jo Dooley, and Ellie Frank, before moving to Paris/Dublin and Southampton - developing her own project STANLÆY. They have recently played at venues such as The Talking Heads, The Notes Café and released their debut album in The Art House on the 11th February 2017 which is available to buy/be listened to below via bandcamp:
