Philip Glass - Etude No. 6 [Gediminas Gelgotas]

I have already had quite a few opportunities to enjoy the wonderful music of Philip Glass, mostly through conducting chamber and symphony orchestras, ensembles, choirs. (Most recently it was his Songs from Liquid Days - a moving and super original large-scale score for orchestra, choir and soloists..)
But this was the first time I took some time and really delved into his cycle of etudes for piano - and I loved it.
So a week ago, somewhere deep in southern Italy, while working in a studio recording my own music for an upcoming piano solo program (yes, another challenge for me...:), I’ve got the impulse to mix things up a bit and played this tune as well.
This is his No. 6, which I am somehow never tire of playing now.
