Hiromi - Spectrum (Piano Breakdown) PART 2 Hiromi Uehara performed Spectrum at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony, and I just HAD to make an in-depth Piano tutorial to show you all some of Hiromi's piano techniques! In this excerpt, we're talking about the "piano drum roll" thing she uses in her opening theme, as well as some jazz chord secret techniques she pulls off by splitting chords between RH and LH, and even some new fingering techniques to give you that machine-like consistency this piece requires. (By the way, sorry I couldn't actually include the audio/video footage of the opening ceremony... the entire Olympics footage is owned exclusively by NBC's Peacock and even including 1 minute of this audio automatically blocks the ENTIRE video... so I actually had to sign up for full membership just to re-watch this performance & transcribe it...)
