Great tip, SHOPPING IN THE KIDS SECTION, ZARA KIDS, I buy stuff for me, I’m 54, you should too!!

So I have been looking for a cute, straw bucket bag, which is very on trend this summer. I found them quite expensive, around the 40€ mark, sometimes even 60€ and it's not something I really needed, it was more a fun accessory to have. I was doing a live feed on my insta in Zara Kids (come on insta for my lives by the way, they are fun - I live in Paris and go round the stores showing all the latest cool stuff, can be chocolates, cakes, Notre Dame or LaDurée macarons, so don't miss out!

...and I spotted the cutest straw bag, exactly the one I wanted at just 17.95€ (not on sale, it was the FULL price!!), the size was just right for an adult (I have been to other stores, but they are too kiddie size, so looks ridiculous, but keep checking, you never know what you might find!). I grabbed it during my live feed, as it was the only one left so clutched it in hand, I didn't want anyone else grabbing it lol.


I buy lots of things from the kiddies department, usually the aged 14 departments in the stores fit me, if it's a baggy top or a loose fitting thing, I don't have a tiny build, and they can be cut quite generously. Accessories often work also, like a cute scarf or a hairband, I'm 54 but I don't care about rules, if I like it and find it chic, I'll buy it, you should try it, it's great fun. I hope you find my Parisian lifestyle interesting, I have lived in Paris for 17 years now and am in the 16th arrondisement. I grew up in Prestwich, Manchester, have lived in London (Hendon) for 5 years, also 5 years in Jerusalem, and 2 years in Manhattan in the UWS, before finally making it to Paris at the ripe old age of 37. I came here single, with just ONE suitcase, and I have had a rollercoaster of very tough times and some very good times too. A very tough city to live in and definitely an acquired taste. Think carefully before coming to live here, it's not all about croissants and cute cafés!
