3D scanners are always fun to play around with, but can also be a great tool for making meshes to aid with 3D modeling. The new Moose from 3D Maker Pro is a relatively lower cost 3D scanner, ideal for the DIY maker or hobbyist. I scanned a variety of objects with overall very positive results. These scans also helped me to create some custom parts that fit into place perfectly. I was also able to "shrink" an RC transmitter for a fun 1/10 scale, 1/10 scale RC crawler. Just watch the video, you'll see what I mean. 😆
