New citizens, new stories - Amyn and Meenaz

We recently had the pleasure of speaking with Meenaz and Amyn, two of our newest Australian citizens who took part in the City of Perth’s Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony.

Drawn to Perth for its relaxed lifestyle, welcoming community, and rich cultural diversity, Meenaz and Amyn have embraced the City as their new home.

But what truly sealed the deal for them? Perth’s thriving underground heavy metal and goth scene – a unique and unexpected element of our vibrant city that made them feel right at home.

As we prepare to welcome another group of soon-to-be citizens at our upcoming Citizenship Ceremony on 17 June, we’re excited to hear more inspiring stories from people who have chosen Perth as their place to live, work, and belong.
