The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art has always been the popular filmmaker lens. And it was also my number one favorite lens of all time. I even bought that lens twice. Not only the lens has amazing f/1.8 zooms. Back in the days the EF mount was able to adapt on any cameras. Especially for the LUMIX GH4 and GH5 users. And now after 10 years, we finally have the version 2. It’s wider and tighter on both ends. Not only that, the lens is also a lot lighter compared to the original 18-35mm. (810g vs 560g)

I gotta say this lens is crazy sharp. Even at wide open. And with the f/1.8 aperture. It felt just like using a prime lens. This is the best combo for FX30.

During my shoot in Japan, it was so sunny and hot in Japan. I had to shoot everything in S-log 3 just to push the extra dynamic range.

Over all I think this is such an awesome lens, I’m glad that Sigma continues to make APS-C lenses for Super 35mm users. The only thing I wish the lens had was little bit wider. Cos 17mm wide end works out around 25.5mm. It’s even tighter on RF system.
