Out For Crimson: Fang Over Fang (Request)

Crimson Fang's trainer has been making a killing off her since your first fight with her. However, she's gotten pretty insufferable since then. Her trainer has been hearing that you've been working out lately, and thought he would try to convince to take her on again, and hopefully knock her down a few pegs.

He approaches you with the promise of money, for real this time (since you didn't get paid as promised last time). You thought about it, and accepted, but added "Listen, I don't care about the money. I feel bad for her because she's being used...by you." He shrugged it off, as if to say "hey, a guy's gotta make a living, right?" You sighed, but agreed to fight her again.

You entered the ring and waited for her. She was happy to see you, thinking that this was a "sure win." She remembered how you feared her god-like strength, and wanted to try and savoring this fight. However, she underestimated the skills you've gained recently, and saw that you shook your head when she roared at you. "Oh, you look you're tough now, huh? We shall see..." she thought to herself.

She throw her first punch, and you countered, haaard. She was taken back, but continued to throw punches. You ducked all of them and throw a barrage of punches to her chest. She couldn't believe the strength you acquired since the first fight. After getting up the first time, you give her a nice pop after her headdress malfunctions, but she sticks you with a nice uppercut. However, you shake your head, as if to say that her punches have no effect anymore. She's dumbfounded, but now tries to resort to having punches coming from all different angles, hoping to tag you one more good time.

But alas. She goes the rest of the fight unable to hit you again. She realizes now that you only let her get that one shot in to prove a point. You finish your lesson to her by unloading multiple sets of combos on her, with the biggest one being at the end, putting her lights out.

You celebrate the moment, but also hope that this is enough to make Fang hang up the gloves for good and return to her village. Her trainer approaches you after the fight and hands you a briefcase. You open it and see more green than the briefcases you see in mob movies! "That's your cut." You look at him confused.

"Oh? You didn't know? Well, let me explain." You sat down with him. "Ya see, kid, Crimson's won so many fights I'm good at what I do. If you recall, I didn't tell you who (or what) you were fighting that night. However, after what people saw and heard what happened to you, everybody got scared. Now, I intentionally kept hiding from notable boxers whom they were fighting. As soon as they stepped in the ring, and saw Fang, they all got scared and took a dive." You started following him. It seems that people kept betting on other person because no one knew who the other fighter was, until it was revealed at introductions. "That was a hard sell, to get them to not reveal the other fighter, but I got it done."

The trainer continued on. "Eventually, Fang got a bunch of haters. It just grew and grew. This time, I made sure people knew who was fighting today. Fang, the one who also had people taking dives or forfeiting altogether, and you, the wimp she took out in that very first fight of hers. Of course, everyone bet on her. I, on the other hand, was the sole bet for you. I put $100,000 on you, and we were looking out 800-to-1 for Fang." Your eyes widened. "Yes sir, thank you for the cool $80 million. There's $5 million in that case for you." You looked at him with a mix of disgust and wonder.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, son, I have a retirement to plan." He walked away, and you wanted to hit him so hard. But, you do have this $5 million, and now you can go home, after being stuck in New York for months.

You knew Fang's pride was hurt, so you went over to her ko'ed body. You took what you needed out of the winnings to get home, and you left the rest in the case and put it next to her. You started away, but paused when you her say "Wait." You turned to her, and she took a deep breath. Though, you stopped her. You said "You made your people proud. Take this money and fulfill your promise to them." She looked as if she was about to cry, but her pride wouldn't let her.

She picked up the suitcase and looked at you. She said "I never told you my real name. It's...Shuri." You nodded, and both of you smiled at each other and went your separate ways.

You got to your car and paused. "Wait...did she say...SHURI?!?" :O
