This "new federation," the ACCW, arose somehow out of the ashes of California Championship Wrestling. Barry Richards, who operated and was also the voice of CCW, had disappeared, and suddenly Joe Palumbo, who I have never heard of before or since (and who I assume was a "money mark" whom Victor Rivera knew), tried to soldier on with this motley crew of wrestlers: besides Rivera, the always-unreliable, hopelessly out of condition, and in-his-sixties Dr. Jerry Graham; Junior Maivia; jobbers Tim Patterson and Billy Anderson; Tony Rocco; etc. The shows consisted of random tapes of several-year-old matches from other promotions (including Antone Leone's promotion that I believe was based somewhere in Central California, e.g. Bakersfield or Fresno), matches from CCW (largely featuring mediocre "talent" that I believe was no longer with ACCW, such as Wildman Jack Armstrong and Chief Jay Strongbow Jr.), with interviews promoting what I suspect were the ACCW's only shows ever, in Maywood, San Bernardino, and apparently one show at the Olympic. I don't think the promotion ever had a TV taping, and disappeared after a few episodes. These tapes from my personal collection are probably the only surviving evidence of the ACCW.
