Uttaranchal University celebrated 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Uttarakhand State on 8th November, 2024. Senior Uttarakhand State Movement activist Shri Ravindra Jugran graced the occasion as chief guest, joined by University President Shri Jitendra Joshi, Vice President Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dharm Buddhi and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna as special guests.
The celebration began with NCC cadets' drill paying homage to the immortal martyrs of the Uttarakhand movement. University students presented a powerful dramatization of the Uttarakhand State Movement, featuring moving portrayals of the Khatima and Mussoorie incidents. The audience was deeply touched by students marching with historic movement slogans.
Chief Guest Shri Ravindra Jugran highlighted the global significance of the Uttarakhand State Movement, describing it as a heritage not just of India but of the world.
University President Shri Jitendra Joshi emphasized that Uttarakhand's creation stemmed not just from constitutional provisions but represented the triumph of countless Uttarakhandi citizens' struggle, sacrifice and martyrdom, establishing new benchmarks for peaceful mass movements.
