Sells Park and Strouds Run State Park are located in Athens County Ohio and offer a great trail system to explore. Beautiful rock formations, creeks, lakes, and different types of forest growth are just a few of the amazing things these trails have to offer.
On this solo day hike I start in Sells Park in Athens Ohio and make my way to Strouds Run. I stop at a Rockhouse called Turtlehead Cave which is a must stop if you go on this hike. I enjoy a good lunch break right on Dow Lake (located in Strouds Run) and make my way up to Vista Point before making my way back to Sells Park completing a nice 10 mile loop. Along the way I stop and read multiple historic markers with some great information on the area making for a longer then normal day hike video but wanted to present as much information as I could about this amazing area.
