This is a video example of the instructor waiting for Malerie to attend. The instructor does not provide prompts to Malerie and waits for her to scan the cards before presenting the instruction. If a student does not spontaneously engage in scanning, a program should be implemented to teach this skill prior to working on programs that require scanning such as receptive ID. The instructor will also provide intermittent reinforcement for scanning skills without presenting a demand throughout the session.
