Over 150,000 square feet of 4” EnviroGrid was used within a large-scale project by Charlotte Water. The project aims to streamline wastewater treatment services by replacing two aging municipal wastewater treatment plants with two brand new pumping stations, one of which being Mount Holly Pump Station. The system was filled with 4 inches of concrete fill throughout the sloped basin ponds to provide slope stability and geomembrane protection to the sloped basin ponds. The continuity of this geocell system is highlighted within this project, as it provides reinforcement to one of the pump stations that will serve eastern Gaston County for years to come.
